One of my favorite events of the season is this Friday! The Weaverville Candlelight Stroll is a great time to enjoy the small town sweetness with holiday events and activities. Starting off with the Tree Lighting on Main Street, there are all kinds of things to do during the Stroll. Maggie B’s will have our free wine tasting from 6-9 and an outdoor area for kids to make Reindeer Food for Christmas Eve. Happy Holidays!

Drink up! This week we will be showcasing women winemakers, and female owned wineries. We will be donating 10% of proceeds from the tasting to Helpmate of Asheville.

Featuring local and seasonal produce, each course will be paired with a thoughtfully selected, sustainably certified wine from family wineries around the world, presented by Juniper Cooper of Johnson Brothers-Mutual Distributors of NC. We are so excited to have importer, Jean-Philippe Bourgeois, pouring some of his amazing wines from his portfolio. For over 20 years, he has been importing wines focused solely on handcrafted, sustainably farmed and certified organic wines.

We love to throw parties, and we are throwing a big one to celebrate 18 years in business! Playing outside will be hard rock cover band, Future26 from 5-6, and blues, soul, rock n’roll band, The Pleasure Chest from 6-9. We will be serving our normal menu inside, and Hickory Nut Gap Brats outside.There will be our bar inside as well as a cash bar outside. And of course… our free wine tasting from 5-8.

We are really excited to have Tom Leiner from Orsini Wines pouring some really cool, small, organic, wineries from South Africa.

We will have some fun varietals that you might not have tried yet for our free Friday night wine tasting. These wines aren’t to heavy so they are perfect for the summer!

New Years is almost here but don’t worry, we have wines perfect to pair with your New Years Eve celebration and the day after. Happy New Years!

One of our favorite holiday events is here! The Weaverville Business Association is putting on the Candlelight Stroll again. There will be caroling, Santa, lighting of the tree, and all the downtown businesses will be open late. Plus, Maggie B’s will have our famous wine tasting from 5-8!

While everything out there still seems pretty sad and strange, we want to offer a little “normalcy”. This Friday we will be tasting some beautiful Italian wines from Haw River Wine Imports. While we are still using plastic glasses due to the water issues, we would love for you to bring your tackiest, most absurd, happiest “wine” glasses in for the wine tasting. Part of the proceeds, plus donations from customers, will be going to the Town of Marshall’s small businesses that were affected by the storm. We all just can’t wait to see your faces!

We are so excited to have Mike Hebert in Maggie B’s signing his new book “A Cajun Abroad”. Books will be for sale at the event as well as on Amazon.

Art in Autumn Festival is happening this Saturday! Maggie B’s will open and serving all our sandwiches, salads, specials, and drinks!

The first day of Fall is Sunday, September 22nd and we will be pouring wines to get you all set for the cooler weather!

Maggie B’s will be open Thursday July 4th 4-9:30. The Town of Weaverville will be hosting a 4th of July Celebration with live music from Datrian Johnson and fireworks starting at 9:15. Happy 4th of July!

We are so excited to be celebrating 17 years in business! We will have an outdoor block party with live music, food, and of course, wine tasting.

The temperatures are rising, but the wines we are serving are lighter, crisp, and refreshing! We have brought in brand new Spanish wines out from Haw River Wine Man.

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, and you better believe she deserves a glass of wine! This Friday night we will be pouring wines that Mom will love.
